Becoming aware of your inner consciousness
Your inner consciousness is your awareness of being alive, not in the sense of having a living working body, or even in the sense of your awareness of your feelings, thoughts and memories. It is beyond this. Your inner consciousness is a sense of being alive and existing, of your inner being. This can be hard state of mind to reach because there are so many thoughts about life and your environment clouding your mind that will prevent you from getting there.
Your inner consciousness is a part of you. Not knowing what your inner consciousness is and what it does and how it works is the same as not knowing how your physical body operates. You need to know how to take care of your body by exercising and eating the right foods to live a healthy and happy life, and this same principle applies to your inner being.
By becoming aware of your inner consciousness you can take better control of your life. You can wash away those negative thoughts such as anxiety that cloud your mind by becoming aware of your inner being and learning how to control it, so you can achieve inner calmness and peace of mind. By doing this you can then focus on achieving all of your life goals and desires without being held back by worry and stress.
The inner consciousness unlike your physical body never changes. It is always there, and is constant when everything else that surrounds it is continually shifting and changing. It is in the background of all of the events in your life. It is beyond and above normal thoughts and feelings, which makes it very difficult to define and explain. It is the time when your mind becomes void of any thoughts and feelings, and is just silent.
Your may have experienced awareness of your inner consciousness without realising it at the time. For example have you ever found yourself in a stunning and tranquil environment that is so awe-inspiring that it has taken your breath away? In this time before your mind begins to process the environment properly and your thoughts and feeling return to you, you will have been experiencing awareness beyond your normal consciousness, an awareness of your inner consciousness, of inner peace and serenity. This inner happiness and calmness can be intentionally achieved through practises such as meditation and yoga. Special exercises like these can help you to enhance your awareness of your inner consciousness. However it is important to have the proper mental attitude which can take time to achieve.
Concentration is essential, and for this you need the right environment. You do not want any visual or audible distractions. Do not worry about achieving your goal or focus on it too much. You should just try to be constantly relaxed. Spiritual literature and communicating with people that are living with constant spiritual awareness can be very helpful.
Becoming aware of your inner being and inner consciousness can eventually lead you onto the path of enlightenment.
