meditationRaising Consciousness: Hints And Tips To Help You Elevate Your Mind

Yoga, meditation and other forms of activity that nurture the mind, body and soul all have one particular aim in mind - raising consciousness. No matter what your initial reason for meditating, whether it is as a form of letting go of your stress or just to shut out the world for a little while, you do need to consider the purpose of raising consciousness as well. After all, you can kill two birds with one stone!

Before getting into some of the best hints and tips for raising consciousness, it is worth exploring why you would want to do so in the first place. Your consciousness is effectively the knowledge that the soul has learnt and retained over the course of your lifetime. It recognises emotional responses and acts accordingly. It also stimulates your self, determining your identity and exactly who you are. By raising consciousness, you can elevate your soul to the point at which your emotional response comes naturally to you and is not as extreme as it may have been before. You remain calm and collected as a result of your inner peace.

In order to achieve what you want when raising consciousness, you should take a few tips on board. The first is that you actively condition yourself before being able to get a handle on raising consciousness. Your responses to certain situations are based on your perceptions so the first tip is to change the way in which you perceive things. This is not as easy as it sounds but if you ask plenty of questions and look for different answers that are outside of the box then you will find that you will be able to condition your mind and thus ultimately end up raising consciousness.

The second tip is to accept changes in your life with open arms. Most people baulk at change because it takes them out of their comfort zone but a key to raising consciousness is to welcome it and learn from the experience. Moving outside of your comfort zone will alter perception and widen experience so raising consciousness is much easier than it would otherwise be.

Embrace difficulty. This is the third tip and perhaps the most valid. Bad things happen in life because it was never meant to be easy. Unfortunately the "woe is me" attitude that people take on can ultimately leave them stranded in a place they cannot escape from in life. They never have a chance to try raising consciousness because they are unable to escape a negative state of mind. By welcoming problems, you can learn from them and enjoy Never have a chance to try raising consciousness at the same time.

The final tip for raising consciousness is to slow down. The world will not stop turning should you be late for a meeting or take a little time out to spend with family. Do not sweat the small stuff, as the saying goes. Raising your consciousness is only possible if you take the time to look around you and drink life in, learning from every step, whether right or wrong. You will soon find that your perception of life changes and you will find it much more peaceful and calm.
