Lucid dreaming is when the person sleeping is aware that he or she is dreaming and can exhibit control over the events in the dream. Meditation can provide the tools needed to actively engage in lucid dreaming and many who seek to have this experience will prepare with various meditation techniques. Though there is always the possibility that you will experience lucid dreaming randomly, meditation will make it more likely.

Meditation bridges the gap between the conscious and unconscious mind by melting all the years of anxiety, depression, fears, and everything else that get in the way when attempting to lucid dream. One of the crucial parts to lucid dreaming success is to be fearless. When your dream becomes lucid (when you become aware you are dreaming) you absolutely need to be fearless or your physical body will wake up, ending the dream abruptly.
