meditationThere are many meditation techniques that will give you energy.

If you feel overworked and overstressed, then meditation may be the answer for you to experience more energy instead of more fatigue. Many people think of meditation as a way to relax and calm down. So, if they are already weary from exhaustion, they don’t want meditation to help them be even more lethargic than they already are. However, meditation can also be used to create bursts of energy that will see you through the day.

Breathing exercises will help give you more energy.

A lot of us don’t get the right amount of breath because we only breathe form the upper chest. Shallow breathing leads to a lethargic feeling because the oxygen is not flowing through the bloodstream the way it should. This lack of oxygen eventually leads to a sedentary feeling that is hard to beat. The best way to combat this problem is to take about five minutes out of every day and breathe deeply. That’s all you have to do.

Find a comfortable place to breathe and relax.

The energy that you will get from this kind of meditation is invigorating. Just make sure that you set a time every day to do your breathing exercises. The first thing to do is find a comfortable chair and a quiet place where you won’t be disturbed. Start by taking a deep breath and letting it out slowly. Make sure to breathe through your nose and make sure that your breath extends all the way down to your stomach. This is called ‘belly breathing.’

This may be uncomfortable at first, but to make sure you are doing this kind of meditation for energy right, put your hand on your stomach. It should expand as you completely fill your lungs with air. If it doesn’t, then you need to breathe deeper. Don’t get discouraged if you can’t do it at first; most people have learned to breathe in a shallow way; and it takes some effort to get air all the way through your lungs. If you can only do deep breathing for a few minutes at a time; don’t get discouraged. A few minutes are all it takes to get started.

You can also use other forms of meditation to get more energy.

Imagery is another form of meditation that you can use if you want more energy. Imagery is when you sit back, close your eyes and imagine a scenario where you have all of the power to overcome fatigue and exhaustion. While you are breathing, imagine that you can draw all of the tiredness out of your body and then smash it with a hammer. This is a generic example to get more energy, but the great thing about imagery is that you can tailor it to any situation. There are more advanced methods to create energy through meditation, and these sorts of meditation techniques are available in books, and on cds which are available through the Internet. It’s really easy to get started with meditation, which will increase your energy because it gives you a better peace of mind.
