meditationIf you have problems with motivation, meditation will help.

Everyone hits a slump in life, but you can find new motivation by using simple meditation techniques. If you have found yourself in a rut, suffering from a stalled career, or even finding it hard to get out of bed in the morning to start the day; meditation can help get you back on track. This is because meditation isn't just for relaxation; it can also be used for motivation.

In this case of motivation, you will want to use a combination of meditation and yoga. This type of regimen requires half-hour sessions about three or four times a week. Still, this is a relatively small amount of time to devote if you need to refocus your life and get a hold of some motivation. These combination yoga and meditation sessions will give you a renewed sense of motivation and help you to center your energy so that you can move forward with your life.

-Motivation is in the breathing.

This kind of meditation starts with breathing exercises. For the first five minutes of the session, you should practice deep breathing. You can either sit on the floor or in a comfortable chair, and then you will start to breathe from your diaphragm. This is also called "belly breathing". This is where you can place your hand on your stomach and make sure that you breathe deep enough so that your stomach expands. This kind of deep breathing increases the amount of oxygen that you take into your lungs and also helps you get motivation. Make sure that you always breathe through your nose.

After five minutes of deep breathing, you can start a meditation session to increase motivation even more. With this kind of relaxation, the first that you want to do is clear your mind. The easiest way to do this is assume what is known in yoga as the "corpse" pose. All you have to do is lie on your back and clear your mind. For the next five minutes, you will want to forget about meetings, work, bills, and anything else that is bothering you.

-Motivation is a mindset that you can achieve.

Now it's time to begin an intense meditation session for motivation. If it helps, you can focus on a word like "energy" and repeat it until your mind is clear. Then, you can let thoughts about your day enter your mind and then let them go. This is tricky to do at first, because we tend to want to hold on to bad thoughts. Also, don't worry if you only last for two or three minutes at first. Even this amount of time will be helpful, and don't worry if it takes you a while to work up to a full half of an hour.

Finally, you will find that a few yoga poses, like the mountain pose, or the standing sun pose will bring you out of the meditation and leave you focused on motivation. This may sound complicated, but it's easy to get started. There are many books, cd's and guided meditations that you can get online to teach you about meditation for motivation and many other forms of meditation for almost any other activity.
