meditationBinaural Beats for Alpha Frequencies

The brain has different frequencies for each level of function. These frequencies are what control the levels of consciousness that we experience. Each of these brain wave frequencies can allow us to learn how to tap into them to achieve the level of consciousness to serve a specific purpose. In this article, you will learn how to use binaural beats for alpha frequency goals.

The Delta wave frequency occurs between 0 and 4 Hz. The Delta frequency usually occurs when we are in deep sleep. It is during this time that our bodies repair themselves. There are some instances when a person can reach this state of consciousness while awake, without knowing they are tired.

The next wave frequency is the Theta frequency. It occurs when your brain has reached 4 to 8 Hz. A person who is experiencing the Theta state of consciousness looks hypnotized and deeply relaxed. Reaching the Theta state is done for the purpose of lucid dreaming and astral projection.

After the Theta state, your brain goes into the Alpha state. The Alpha state occurs at 8 to 12 Hz. In the Alpha state, you are awake but still relaxed. It is the Alpha state of consciousness that controls daydreaming.

The Beta wave frequency occurs at 13 to 40 Hz. People in the Beta state are fully and completely awake, without any of the signs of the other states of consciousness. Your mind is clear and focused, yet balanced.

Binaural beats are sounds because we use our ears to listen to them, but they are actually low frequency sound waves. These sound waves are split into two different levels: one level is heard through one ear, while the other level is heard through the other ear. The brain processes these frequencies and then creates a third that equals the difference between the first two. That resulting frequency is then used to teach the mind to reach the desired state of consciousness. In order to do this, the binaural beats have to be adjusted for each type of brain wave state. Here we will be using binaural beats for alpha frequency stimulation, so the binaural beats that you use will have to have a specific target for this state by providing the frequency levels that will lead to alpha induction, binaural beats for alpha stimulation.

The Alpha state, as mentioned above, is the state of mind and body relaxation. In our daily lives, the most common experiences that we have with Alpha stimulation is through the television when we become engrossed in a show and become completely relaxed. The problem with television induced Alpha states is that there is no true mind and body relaxation; there are two many ongoing visual and audio overloads. Binaural beats for Alpha triggering does not give you the extra overloads.

Relaxation is the ultimate goal, but some people use binaural beats for Alpha stimulation to help them recall their dreams from the Theta stage during sleeping hours. Sometimes, to achieve this goal, a person will start with binaural beats for other states, working to using the binaural beats for Alpha states. Either way, the binaural beats for Alpha induction have helped many people learn to reach the relaxation of mind and body that they need.
