However, it can work out to be quite expensive if you continue to attend classes on a regular basis. You do have to go out of your home to meditate as well, which may not always be convenient.

One On One Instruction Some people prefer one on one tuition when it comes to beginning meditation. This is because it is much easier to pick up the basics when you have someone literally right by you and guiding you through the whole experience. Although this may be the best possible option when beginning meditation, it is also the most expensive by far. Furthermore, some individuals do not like it because of shyness. As such, it is a personal choice as to whether it is for you or not.

Audio Instructions Audio instructions are available online or in packs that you can buy in all good fitness stores. You can download them or order CDs and you can listen to them in your own home as and when you like. They are effective and incredibly affordable. They also come in a variety of forms so you can choose the type you want to undertake when beginning meditation. However, they cannot solve your problems as and when they crop up and it is useless asking a question so beginning meditation in this way does have its flaws!

Books/Manuals  There are numerous books and manuals that are printed on the topic of beginning meditation. Not only do they tell you exactly how to do it but also answer any and all questions you may have. Although books may interrupt your meditation time if you do not learn the basics when beginning meditation, they are convenient for use at home, affordable and can provide you with the most information in one go. However, you do have to choose the right books if you want to be able to capitalise on the information.
